openroar

privacy

no cookies. no trackers. no analytics.

this site collects nothing about you. no cookies, no analytics, no profiles. the only way we get your email is if you choose to send it. this isn't the legal minimum. it's a choice.

who is responsible

the controller.

the openroar collective, verein für eine florierende zukunft mit ki. (in gründung, vienna, austria. the registered postal address will be added once the association is formed, see the imprint.)

you can reach us any time at kontakt@openroar.org. every message is read by the team.

no data protection officer has been appointed. this is not required for an organisation of our size and the very limited processing we do.

how we measure

we don't. no analytics at all.

there is no analytics on this site. no umami, no google, no plausible, no pixels, no third-party scripts of any kind. we do not count you, and we could not identify you if we tried. the fonts are served from our own site, so they don't phone home either.

we set no cookies. the one thing this site remembers is your light or dark theme choice, stored in your own browser, on your own device. it never leaves your device and it never reaches us.

to serve the site quickly we use a content delivery network (cloudflare pages). delivering a page means cloudflare processes basic connection metadata such as your ip address, the same as any website you visit. it sets no cookies through us and runs no profiling for us. this is the only processor involved in simply loading the page.

your email

only if you send it. and only what you write.

if you use the count me in form, nothing is sent to any server. instead your own email app opens, already addressed to kontakt@openroar.org, with your email address filled into the message. we receive it only if you then press send, and we receive only what you chose to write. there is no backend, no database, no signup service, no confirmation flow behind this form. it is a plain email, from you to us.

the same is true if you write to us directly. like any email, your message travels through your email provider and ours to reach our inbox. beyond reading and replying, we run it through no analytics, store it in no marketing tool, and share it with no one.

legal basis. your consent (gdpr art.6(1)(a)), given by choosing to send us the email. purpose. to reply to you, and, if you asked to be kept in the loop, to let you know when openroar opens. nothing else.

recipients & transfers. we do not sell your address, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it to target you. we do not send it to any third-party mailing or analytics service. we do not build a profile of you.

how long we keep it. until it is no longer needed for the reason you wrote, or until you ask us to erase it, whichever comes first. if you asked to be told when openroar opens, we keep your email until then, and at launch we will ask you to re-confirm or we will erase it.

to be removed, email kontakt@openroar.org, tell us which address to delete, and we will erase it promptly, and always within the one month the gdpr requires. withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

gdpr+ means we hold ourselves to more than the regulation requires. the full standard is in our charter.

your rights

access, correct, erase, restrict, object. and withdraw.

under the gdpr you have the right to access any data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.

you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, with no effect on processing done before you withdrew. to exercise any right, email us at kontakt@openroar.org. we will act promptly, always within one month.

you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. in austria that is the datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).

the short version

what we do, and do not, do.

built in vienna, europe. owned by you.
